Weather- 92+*F, humid, +3000 DA, no shade in which to cool the cars.

2hr drive to track. Let cars sit to cool for a little over an hour and still every temp parameter was over 180*F, blower was basically a grill to the touch. Made 3 passes, car was very consistent and felt like I got a good grip on the launch now. Lund says car was quickly entering the high IAT tables during the passes. New PB 60ft, 330ft, 1/8th ET and 1/4 trap But that’s about it. I’ll post a vid of what was recorded later on.

What did you do differently on the pass where got the best 60? Nice times for that horrible weather.

Stomped it. On the first 2 it was a low foot brake to like 12-1300, then a foot brake to 1900-2000. Both yielded same 60ft.

What rear tires are you running and do you use 2nd gear in the water box at the drag way?
Your mustang looks great!

That's interesting. An Idle stomp produces the same sixty for me. As leaving with some RPM. At this point I'd kill for a 1.40 sixty. That'll fetch me a 9.7 in Atco DA this fall.

305-45-17 ET street SS. Def 2nd gear, it’s a must at least for me at my track, start in 1st and then shift to 2nd, hold for 3-5 seconds. Thank you.

Thanks, Bob. I always keep an eye out for you guys’ S550 when I go, it’s always a pleasure to see it.

I’d say I’d be very happy to simply reproduce it but excited about the chance to do 1.30s. Next time with cooler air, no spare in the trunk, kmember, raised 1-2 shift about 3-400rpm. Really hopefully that will do it.

My 10.06 on MS103 without converter came at around -550DA. That’s a 3000ft swing. Also kmember, remove spare (left it in thinking it would be needed for traction, had half tank of gas(could probably get away with 2-3less gallons) and the raised 2nd gear shift.

Lund said it will likely not gain anything from raising 1-2 to where “it should be” from the current 7100ish. and although that might be the case for an 8-900whp Whipple with 3.15 gears. I don’t think it’s true for a lower hp peaky powerband of a centri with 3.55, I think the further I go in 1st the better.
