T56 Magnum XL Shifter

Just seeing if anyone who has this transmission has swapped shifters? I’ve always used the Steeda Tri-Ax, but I see MGW also offers a shifter. Any ideas? Any and all help is appreciated.

get the mgw shifter, my buddy has it on his magnum xl and loves it...

I swapped to the MGW when I did my Magnum XL install. Never gave the stock shifter a chance. I’ve always appreciated the MGW product with my mt82 and now my magnum as well.

This may be a dumb question, but does the T56 allow for a shifter like a Barton Hybrid 3?

I gotta admit, I like the low vibration feel of the body mount setup.

The Magnum XL is designed with a longer tail section (that's the XL part) to put the trans mounted shifter in the right place for the S197 and now S550 chassis. I don't see any way you could do a body mounted shifter.

There is no body mount selection for the magnum xl; it is a direct shift transmission and is a highly desired aspect. If body mounted is preferred, another setup would be desired. My shifter (doesn’t matter due to my MGW or provided shifter) has no discernible vibration at all compared to stock.
