My cylinder head temps in stop and go traffic are 220-234 is this normal with the turbos causing more heat in the engine bay? Once i start moving they go down

Ask Hellion or the dealer you purchased from. Why ask for opinion? Get the facts from the maker.

Already did, PBD say’s its not normal. Hellion told me i should be 20* more than before which is correct, that’s exactly what it is. Rather see if anyone else had this issue

definitely seems high. i have a PD blower so it's different but I've only seen mine get past 210 one time. Usually hovers between 200-205 even in bumper to bumper traffic.

In stop and go if its 90+ then yeah thats not terribly unreasonable to see temps like that. You fans should kick on and lower those temps.

I have not noticed that my cylinder head temps are much different from my Paxton kit if I am not driving the car hard.

170 degree thermostat? Heat blankets on the turbos? Those without at least the PP/GT350 radiator should definitely upgrade the radiator in conjunction with FI of any kind, and certainly with turbochargers.

I am on 170 thermostat, I have a performance pack car and I don't run turbo blankets since it is low mount kit.

Is your cooling fan coming on at 170 degrees? or at all? even with the OEM T-stat you shouldn't be seeing 230+ degree temps.

Car has stock t-stat, turbos have blankets fan’s kick on at 170*ish.
Do take consideration the turbos are sitting right in front of the heads, along with all the hot piping car’s on 93. If i have it idling with the hood open i’m around 200-207. Believe the heat is just getting trapped. I never pass the center of cold and hot

I actually had a radiator fan fail, which caused my CHTs and coolant temps to rise to 230-250 if I was idling. Unsure of the cause, but could be heat from the turbos.

You may want to check to ensure you have proper fan operation. We have the same kit with the same turbo blankets so its a possibility. I've since upgraded mine to Thermal Zero lava turbo blankets.
