I know this car isn’t specifically for dragging but it’s really all I have available near me, so I’m trying to make the most of it.

Coming from a 5.0 if run an 1/8 in around 8.6 and I’d dump the clutch at green at about 1500-2000 rpm to avoid spinning all the way through 1st and second.

I tried that with the 350 and my engine basically bogged down so I now launch at 3500-4000rpm but I spin a bunch. Went last night and fastest I ran the 1/8 was 9.0 which is bad, I know the track conditions weren’t great as everything was running slow and no one could get traction, but still I should be able to do better.

Any suggestions for running a gt350?

Are you on street tires? I never had any luck at the strip getting a car with street tires to leave well by dumping the clutch. I always had to lean on the clutch a bit for it to squat and try to pull my foot off really fast without breaking traction.

What 60's were you running with your GT and GT350?

Your rpms sounds about right. You'll have to ride the clutch. To get any kind of a launch. Think 1000-1, 1000-2 when launching. A clutch dump wont work unless your on slicks. And if that's the case. Increase your rpms more. Msybe 5000rpmsISH.
