Is waving a thing Mustang drivers do?

So there's the well known fact that motorcycle riders will indicate some solidarity by acknowledging each other with a simple two finger wave. Do Mustang drivers have a similar etiquette? I have driven past a few Mustangs around town and there was never any exchange between us. Then yesterday I was sitting at a light and a blonde lady in a newer yellow California Edition drove past and as she did I got a wave. I had just enough time to see this and return the gesture. Hopefully she saw that.

So who waves and who doesn't? Do we or don't we?
I'm thinking she just wanted my phone number.

Some people will. Some will give a rev or a head nod.

Its not like the Jeepers who will cause a five car pile up trying to wave at another Jeep though. My buddy is a Jeeper and I give him a hard time about that all the time. Oh you missed your exit so you can wave at another Jeep? Cool.

Yes, it's law if you drive a Jeep.

Occasionally.

I keep it to a V for Victory sign. Maybe a nod.

Let's not act like little girls wearing the same shoes and screeching about it in glee while jumping up and down.

Where I live you see a lot of 20% waves given to all models of cars.

Haven't seen any full waves to a Mustang yet, but since it can be suicidal to roll windows down in central AZ, maybe I just can't see them thru the the two layers of tint.

In the Vette world it was fairly popular. I do a short wave and get one back about 50%. I have yet to jump up and down but I'll go thumbs up if I see a real good example or we "race" a bit . I love my car, but it's still just a S550. Not exactly a supercar or a classic. And there are plenty. The vettes seemed a bit more rare. Especially the C5s....

I'll nod to acknowledge a nice ride. But remember, camaros and challengers are the enemy so you always have to cut 'em off and give them the finger. And until I get a vette, they are also the enemy so you should give em a good squirt with your wiper fluid.

I wave but I get thumbs up from motorcycle guys, seems like the S197 guys would rather ignore you.I get a response %50 of the time. At car shows is where I meet the friendliest people.

Most of the time I don't get anything every once in a great while I get a nod. I even got a nod from a guy in a camaro convertible once.

A hot chick in a Mustang is always going to get a wave back.

Yes, this started in 1964 when they first hit the road. Ford really promoted the "Mustanger" thing and the camaraderie of owning a Mustang. I like it...
