Played with the 3" pulley I had here and found out the green belt I had ordered for it was the wrong one. Here is some of the info I've been able to accumulate so far while researching belts.

Edelbrock included belt: Continental Elite 4060820 - 82"/2107mm effective length

This belt does fit the smaller 3", but I believe it will lead to slip since I'm able to twist the belt about 70% of the way when installed

K060812HD - does not work, I made a mistake with the lengths, turns out the effective length is actually 81-1/4"(2064mm). This belt came up short for the 3" pulley and waaaay too short for the 3.25"

Duralast 820K6 - 82"/2085mm belt does not work with the stock 3.25" pulley, it came up too short, I believe it's bc it's 2085mm and the included continental belt is 2107mm even though they both share the 820 numbers, it doesn't seem their effective lengths are the same(22mm difference). This belt does wrap around the 3" pulley though

Duralast 827K6(alternate #:825K6) has a 82.68"/2100mm length and should work for a spare/emergency belt should your stock one snap or you need one ASAP for some reason. This one has a 82.68" length vs the 82" included with the kit how ever it seems it's effective length is 7mm shorter.

Gates K080817RPM has a 81.75"/2077mm effective length, this should be short enough to avoid slip on the 3". It is a 8 rib belt so it will require slicing off 2 ribs for the 6 rib pulley

Gates K060828HD has a 82.87/2105mm effective length, this is only 2mm shorter than the included continental belt, so this one should work with the stock 3.25" pulley since it's only 2mm shorter(even though in inches it looks longer)

Gates K070825HD has a 82.59"/2099mm length, this should work on the 3.25" pulley and should be a good replacement. for the included continental belt, it's shorter than the 828HD by 6mm, so it might be a good belt choice for the 3" as well
K060812HD - I'm glad you are the second person to confirm 81.2 does not work with the 3" pulley. This is the belt size that come with the 2300 kits(the ones that ship with 3" pulley). Some members here have reported success by doing the smooth idler pulley next to the alternator last. I could not get that to work.

K080817RPM For the 81.7 You can just get the 4060817 from continental, it's 6 ribs so you don't have to hack up the belt:

For the brass IAT sensor swap. Did you guys just thread it in without any thread sealant? If you did, what did you use?

So I got the installation almost done, but I did run into one snag. I have the brass temp sensor and the plug on the harness is wrong. I sourced the correct plug (you can find it looking up a 1997 Camaro 5.7 LT1 IAT sensor) and I'm waiting on the supercharger tech guy to call me back and confirm the pins before I splice and solder the new plug on.
I just ran into this on my install. C
@ForYourOwnGood so they sent you the original harness with the new sensor? I don't want to steer you wrong (other people chime in), but it shouldn't matter which wire goes to which side of the sensor. It's just a variable resistance circuit.
I just ran into this problem on my I install. Can anyone confirm if it matters how you wire/solder the 2 wires together?

Teflon tape or paste

I will keep that part # in mind in case the ones im doing tonight don't work. I have a 817K6 and a 827K6 im going to test on the 3.25" and 3". If they work, then I will be ordering the corresponding green belts online to keep on hand. Cutting 1 or 2 ribs off isn't a big deal, you can use a sharp razor blade to do it, but yeah, I do believe the 81.7" belt is the correct length for a 3" pulley

I called and it does not. They will send you a new harness fast though.
Thanks! I already sent tony an email but we're going to try and find a new plug tomorrow so I can get it out of my cousin's garage and into mine.

So far here is my 2 cents, the overall kit and instructions seem to be pretty good. However, this thread should be mentioned in the install kit on page 1!

Get an Delphi IAT plug for a 97 Camaro.
Thanks for all your help guys! We finished the install today and she's running like a scalded dog! So far I have no complaints with the edelbrock 93 tune other than it does seem to want to coast after a long pull.

Played with belts, def go off their effective lengths in mm and not inches

817K6 fit the 3” pulley
827K6 fit the 3.25”(820K6 does not)

Firstly, good work on doing the research/crunching the numbers etc.
With my 2650 Pro-Tuner kit arriving shortly, I just need to confirm that I’m reading this correctly.
The supplied Continental Elite 4060820 WILL work with the 3.25” pulley?
Gates K060828HD “should” work with 3.25” pulley?
I’ll be starting out with the 3.25” but if PBD are happy to drop a pulley, things could get a little more interesting.
Cheers

Overall the install went pretty good but hear is my 2 cents that might be able to make it easier for the next guy.

-Page 12 should be page 1 in the install guide. You must e-mail all your info to the calibration equipment and then they will e-mail the tune back to you so you can load it on your sct x4 device. I was reading the through the manual to start the install the next day when I realized this. Also make sure to include weather or not you have the brass or plastic sensor and double check to make sure the wiring harness fits the sensor you have.

-We skipped steps 1-3, I'm not advising you to do this but just make sure you have safety glasses and a rag ready when you go to disconnect the fuel line.

-When removing the front clip I would label all the hardware and separate them into containers, there's a lot of them.

-On step 53, the center hole was already tapped but the hole to the right needed to be drilled and tapped. I put tape around the frill bit at the desired depth to make sure I didn't go to deep.

-Step 64, I did remove both sides but I really think the driver side could be left in place. It looked like the S/C would fit past it on install plus putting the bolt back into the flange was a little tricky once the S/C is in place.

-Step 74, I'd remove the fuel rail before setting on the S/C.

-Step 77, I just removed the hood liner completely.

-Step 78, just take your time, it is possible!

Step 79, On my S/C the holes where actually drilled slightly on a upward angle. The passenger side bolts didn't seem to want to start so I cut down a tap small enough to fit into the opening and chased the threads. After that they went right in.

-Steps 93-95, I ended up leaving all the bolts loose until I got everything in place and then tightened them all down.

-Step 96, drill the hole about 3/8" higher than the fitting. See step 100, I ended up having elongating mine.

-Step 111, my harness was not long enough like shown so we flipped it 180 degrees.

-Step 114, the picture is taken at a weird angle. The bolt is in the top/right of the head light if your standing in front of the car.

-Step 116, you do not use the factory one. They supply a regular o-ring, the factory one does not work.

Other than that I thought the manual was spot on. I hope this may be helpful and feel free comment or ask any questions.

That is correct, the supplier Elite belt does work with he 3.25" pulley, I ran it for 5k miles before I dropped down to the 3". That belt is 2107mm long, the K060828HD is 2105mm long, so it should be a direct replacement for the Elite belt.

3" pulley: K080817HD - requires cutting 2 ribs off to make it a 6 rib. If you need a belt in a hurry then 817K6 from Autozone will work as well. I just ordered this belt for my own car so I will post an update on it when it shows up to verify it fits.

@Burkey welcome to the club!
Cheers. I’ll be doing a bit of a spiel on the process and results once it’s all done.
Can’t wait for the extra torque!
