View attachment 333301 I am getting ready to upgrade my 2015 Mustang to 6 piston brakes and have all the parts. However when I received the backing plates from Preiffer Wholesale Ford parts, they do not look like the ones in the photos of used parts listed on Ebay. Here are the part numbers: FR3Z2K004C and FR3C2K005C. They were/are listed as the backing plates for a Mustang with brembo brakes, not Shelby. Can anyone help me with this? Are these the correct parts?

FR3Z-2K005-H and FR3Z-2K004-H were the backing plates I used. They weren't full cover shields though. I remember reading that ford changed the brembos to include more coverage like the ones you have, so it may be the correct part. If you have the rotors, compare the rotor size to the backing plate.

Thanks PLC 268. You're the second person to tell me that these should work. when I get home tonight I'll match them up with the new rotors I bought. I know they're cracked because I measured them!

GreenS550. The Performance Pack Brake kit comes with the part numbers FR3Z-2K004-H and FR3Z-2K005-H. These are the smaller ones. That's what Benny at Levittown set me up with when I purchased the Bullitt Brembo calipers. I'm sure the larger ones including the stock GT backing plates will work if you want to reuse them.

Thanks I appreciate that greatly. Looking forward to getting them put on in about 3 weeks.

I got a set of Brembos and backing plates from a 2018 mustang. The backing plates are the same as what you have. They fit perfectly.
They must have changed them to full coverage.

So will my stock 2017 GT non-PP dust shields work fine with PP Brembo calipers?

Are these the dust shields that correspond to part #FR3Z-2K005-H & FR3Z-2K004-H

*Update on the splash shields…I placed an order with Lakeland Ford 1/26 and much to my surprise they sent me the splash shields I already had. Apparently they decided I ordered the wrong ones because the high performance brakes didn’t match my vin. If you order these while upgrading your brakes be sure to tell them you are upgrading so they don’t change your order. Also, one of those splash shields is still back ordered with no expected date. I cancelled my order and going without. I will add splash shields once parts become available.

I ordered the front 6 piston brake kit from lmr and it came with the small shields. Lead time was only a few days.

I'm sure the correct #s are on the internet somewhere one of the reasons I don't like going to the dealers... can't do anything unless you provide the vin of your car...just tell them to pull up the main "catalog" or file of 350s and they'll see the part #

Im glad the whole kit comes with the correct shields. It does show them on LMR's listing. I bought "new" takeoffs of the loaded calibers and rotors from shelby america on ebay. It didnt come with the shields. It did come with brake cables but i came to find out they do not fit with my GT brake line. I'll get the correct ones next week. Shoulda done that in the first place.
Another option for me is to buy LMR's kit and sell what i have. Its so dang heavy that packing and shipping would not be fun.
