What do you 50 Year LE owners think of Ford reusing the LE wheels on the 2020 Ecoboost High Performance package ?

It’s not the first time. The same wheels have been used on other Mustangs in either all black or bright silver. On those cars, though, they seem to be 9” all around, rather than the staggered setup of our cars.

However, from the way this photo looks on my phone screen, it looks like it’s painted the same as ours.

I didn’t care for the wheel being used with other paint jobs, but didn’t think it was a big deal to complain about. But if they’re being reused in the same paint job, then yeah I’m a bit upset about that.

Exactly what I would expect from a parts bin package...

The one above isn't a 9" wheel though. It's a. 8.5" off the front of LE also. See the stem placement? On the rears, it's in the large opening between the split spokes. That one is in the small opening of the split.

The 50 LE is 9” in front, 9.5” in the rear.

Bleh. You're right.

The above is a 9" though. Have to see the rear to see if it's staggered or not. Same reasons I stayed above but was shifted .5" down the ruler. Lol.

I don't understand why everyone thinks any car that isn't a $400K GT made by FORD in 2019 is "limited". It's limited all right. To the limits of your own imagination and marketing influence.

“Limited” usually refers to the quantity produced, not what can be done with it after purchase. It more specifically means that the quantity produced was deliberately limited by choice to a particular number. Production of ANYTHING is limited: limited to how many can be made and sold with the amount of resources and customers available. So yes, EVERYTHING is limited, but usually when something is marketed as “limited” it means the production quantity of the item was deliberately capped at an amount much lower than it could’ve been.

In this case, 1,964.

The 50Year LE cars where not parts bin cars. They where built only in the first year of the new s550 Mustang along with the Wimbledon White paint they are the only Mustang's to have these quarter windows

Now if you want to talk parts bin car that would be the 2020 Mustang High Performance package.

I’m pretty sure the chrome window and taillight trim were also not pulled out of a bin.

Parts bin package or not, the fact is that this combination of parts, colors, and options were put together only 1964 times, and that number was a deliberate choice by Ford, so it’s a limited edition.

I just look at it as a marketing package. Like a GT, GT350, LE, Bullitt, EcoBoost are all marketing packages of the same basic car. Or, if you choose Ford Performance brings the parts bin to your door...your choice. Can't lose.

I think the chrome trim was available over sees, just not in the US.

As far as the wheels are concerned, I wish they would have left them on the LE's only.
