Race Red vs Velocity Blue

I was absolutely set on white, I may get tired of white (not having color) but I am more likely to get tired of a color over time. A lot of friends and family said a sports car deserves color. I looked at all of the 19 options and I would like them all for a few weeks including orange and the lime green, Ruby Red is sharp as hell but I narrowed it down to Velocity Blue and Race Red.

After seeing most of the options in person a mental note was Race Red screames go fast and get lots of tickets so that is what I chose

I had black don't do it. I think a lot of people think the competition orange and race red are similar in pics but in person race red is definitely red. This would be a tough choice for me. The blue is great plus you're less likely to get pulled over. I know a state trooper who singles out red cars! In the pics above, I like the red with black accents though. See I still can't make up my mind...

The middle pic is my car LOL, and my stratus behind it. I went in with the intentions of buying race red, walked out with velocity blue. No regrets, it's a gorgeous and unique color. Can't really go wrong with either, though.

My first Mustang was race red and I actually didn't like it at first, but 5 years of calling it "Fuego" had me think I'd never own anything else. But the velocity blue was just... idk, there was something to it. It was a lone car among a dozen other grey, black, and red mustangs. I knew before I bought it I wouldn't regret the choice. So my advice is to get the one you know you won't regret. There's always the logical choice, and then the impulsive/go with your heart choice. The former seems to be the one that always has people asking "what if" if they picked it over the impulsive buy.

So after totaling my old car, I'm in the market for a brand new 2019 Mustang GT and stuck between these two colors. I originally wanted black but have taken precaution regarding the maintenance of black cars. I know color is subjective, but what do you guys think looks better?

My second Race Red Mustang...... Grabber Blue was my second choice....

Velocity Blue is sort of a pearlescent color, and therefore will hide swirls to an extent. Plus I love the change in hue with different angles and lighting and the little bit of purple in it.

It is definitely a pearl. BASF even calls the color Velocity Blue Pearl. I suspect that's what their contact at Ford called it. And the formula for it contains 3 different pearls.

It might have some green in it too because a few people at a car show said the stripes on my strut brace looked more "teal" than the stripes on the rest of the car. But the only difference was the angle and amount of light on each. I was there when they were painted at the same time.

Another Velocity Blue here and I love the color. I get a lot of positive feedback on it too.

If its a daily then Velocity Blue. I can do that color all day long. If its not a daily then Race Red might be fun and if the car has every thing I needed in Race Red I would do it.

I have a lightning Blue 18 and while it's a great color I think the red is a better choice. I chose the blue over orange fury because of the Blue PP vs Orange non PP. but if red would have been available that day i'd be owning a red Mustang GT PP instead
