Majic Eraser that is. 3200 miles of brake dust on those inner wheels. I really didn't spend a lot of time on them but I really don't need them to look like new. I drive it. This is just an FYI for everyone.

Edit: It should be noted that I used Majic Eraser on the heat coating only. I hand washed the rest of the wheel with soft carwash soap. .

With the above solution, you shouldn't have to elbow it a whole lot. With 3,200 miles you're not a clean wheel fanatic so you'll just have to agitate it just enough. The good thing is once you do this. You can do this every week in no less than 15 minutes. In fact, I installed a car stem valve into the tank just so I wouldn't have to pump it. I bought two one for wheels and one for the car panels as I don't own a pressure washer. Any extra solution in the tank you can just save for the next week or visit your neighbors and surprise him with a nonacid wash designed for carbon fiber wheels / any wheels. There's no reason to drain it.

I'm not sure either of those whould get the wheel dust out of the heat coating on an R.

I use Power Purple and a pressure washer to clean the ceramic coating.

Interesting that you posted this topic because I also cleaned my rims today.

brett, do you remove the wheels or are you able to spray clean only?
I spray the insides out with the pressure washer periodically depending on how much I drive to not allow anything brake dust to set and stain.

Today to fully clean the ceramic, I removed the rims, using Power Purple, Griot’s heavy duty wheel cleaner, and adhesive remove to lift up and tar. I then clean it off with the washer.
