Only took me a year to figure this out.
After another encounter with splitter to the pavement, this time uneven pavement in a construction zone, looked at the replacement cost of a new R front splitter and yikes! so I decided to take action, below are some shots of edge trim applied to the front splitter.
Actually looks like it belongs! The edge trim is from Canadian Tire, unfortunately, it came in gloss black so I bought some flat black vinyl spray paint and sprayed the trim its not a bad match to the splitter. The edge trim came with bead adhesive already in the trim, I used a heat gun to heat up the trim and adhesive, makes the install easier with the trim more flexible. I worked my way around the splitter a few inches at a time keeping my working edge hot. Let me know what you think. Pictures of bruised splitter can be found in the Ruby Red Forum.
