LOL - now we're telling stories of self-inflicted wounds. I've got a good one.
A few years ago I bought an NC Miata to work on with my pre-teen son. We were putting on coilovers and I taught him how to put an extension on a socket wrench. He was holding the wrench by the socket side (a no-no), and it spun around and WHAP... instant fender dent.
He stared at the dent like it beamed in from space... probably thinking this was the last thing he might ever see. I took the wrench from his hand, turned it around and said, "Always hold it like this." We never spoke of the dent.
