Boost is more like air pressure in the engine.
It’s not only at the entrance, but even in the exit. It’s why headers will lower boost, but gain power.

Exactly. Resistance to the flow.

Headers reduce the differential pressure.

The goal would be to have a supercharger with 0 psi. Then all the power would be made.

It’s vert difficult to think about it in this way.

I don’t remekber Ford giving out the PSI. If they did, that’s interesting. Just that it was the same unit which produces (nearly 14 peak) in the Corvette. Would you mind posting the source? The only thing I’ve seen with that number is a road and track article that quotes Ford on some thing and then adds their own, non-quotes details. The 12 number was added by R&T and not quoted.

Ford was rolling with 15 psi on the ‘13 gt500 which used a 5.8 that doesn’t compare to the 5.0 now. Let alone the 5.2 CPC. And the 5.0 was built for supercharging from the beginning. There really isn’t anything stopping them from running 15 psi now.
