It’s a mid range driver.

What other changes have you made to the stereo? Did you mess with forscan at all?

JL tweeters up front and subwoofer.

Haven't touched anything with the forscan.

So I should be looking at mid range speakers and what frequency should I look for?

Weird that it’s blowing on stock power. I was wondering if you were inadvertently sending full range signal to it, but since that’s not the case it gets more difficult.

The midrange frequencies that are covered can vary by brand. The ones I use cover from 300 - 6,000 Hz. This is where it can get tricky if you don’t replace everything and use supplied crossovers or a dsp.

Sorry I don’t have an answer as to why it keeps popping on you.

I like to replace it with something like the factory unit with little better quality. The factory units never blew and if I had those I would of installed it back.

First set I installed was some focals and they lasted 2 months. Second set was the jbl and they were better but lasted about 5 months. I don't know, maybe I am installing the wrong type speaker.

Mid range and mid bass.

Mid-range is the one you circled. The mid-bass is the one at the bottom of the door.

You know if I remember correctly the factory had a capacitor on it. Maybe the new ones are blowing because they don't have a capacitor.

Also, what ohm should I go with?

Use Infinity Ref-3032 speakers. That's what I used for my 3.5" doors and center speakers. The oem speakers are paper cones that are rated at 12.5w.

Those infinity are 2 way speaker. I need a mid-range speaker. I already have JL tweeters that are very good.

I'll sell you a pair of JL audio 3.5s to go in there. I bought a second pair to use one for the center speaker but my installer ended up unplugging it.

Since you're looking for dedicated mid range speakers, have you looked at the infinity kappas 300m speakers? They are 3.5 ohms
