2018 Oil Filter

I have read on this forum that the correct oil filter for the Australian Mustang GT is Ryco Z928 but when I put this into Supercheap parts picker I am advised that it is not suitable for a 2018. Can anyone advise of the correct filter for the 2018 and if there are alternatives that are proven to be compatible. Thanks

Thanks for your reply Steve. I did in fact go with the K & N for my interim oil change but I am thinking of changing to the Motorcraft filter at its 1 year change next month.

Just buy the Motorcraft filter (FL-500S) from the Ford dealer service department. From my other thread on 2017 Mustang it appears they are cheaper anyway at less than $10.

If you want to double check on SuperCheap use their "My Garage - Select your vehicle" option. Once you have found your vehicle if you click on it (yes you have to click on the vehicle type again) it brings up a full list of all parts for the vehicle. And funnily enough if you pick a 2018 Mustang 5.0 it will tell you that the Ryco Z928 is the correct filter. It also has the K&N PS-2011 and HP-2011 - these are all the same as for a 2015-2017 Mustang.

I got a K&N HP2011 filter from sparesbox on ebay $20.00 free post. Ryco filter is z928
