I am on an e85 tune but I have the issue where my idle goes rough and occasionally my car stalls while at a stop. I am wondering if there are any spark plugs better than OEM that are better suited for E85? Also are there any o2 sensors on the market that tolerate e85 better than OEM?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I know of at least 5-10 people with this issue after running e85 for a while. Mine happens even on the stock tune on 93 octane now so something must not be right with some part of my car due to the e85 possibly, and I think it may be plugs or the o2 sensors.

I eventually had an o2 sensor light come on, had it replaced but after that, while on the stock tune on pure 93, it stalled out on the drive back from the dealer with the same issue. I waited for a while on the stock tune for the light to come back on but it didnt, so I switched back to the e85 tune and I've been on it for 2k miles and the light hasnt come back on. So I dont know what to do now other than try different o2 sensors or sparkplugs possibly.

Before you go swapping out stuff.. how are things like your stft and vacuum readings looking like? Talked to your tuner?

This is probably tune related. Spark plugs are fine stock and stock O2 sensors are really good and better than aftermarket. I've heard the NGK's are pretty good once going FI. Is it possible for you to go back to a stock tune and see if any of these issues still exist?

It happens on the stock tune on 93 octane now too, so It must be hardware related. My tuner didnt see any problem and thought it was the o2 sensor, I had a code for that but got the sensor replaced and the car still had the issue on the stock tune on 93 octane after replacing the sensor. This issue has been happening for over 2k miles with no check engine light now after replacing that sensor.

Been on E for almost 7k miles exclusively. Stock plugs and O2s. Last 3k or more with Kooks headers.

No issues.

Same car and tuner here, weird. I dont know what the problem is and no light is coming back on. I added some information to the first post.

Only mods are the k&n filter and pbd e85 tune, and electric cutouts.

OE sensors are the only ones offered for the 18+ AFAIK and probably the best ones. I’ve replaced a Bank 2 sensor myself, but no issues since. Changing plugs can’t hurt. Inexpensive and at least eliminate that. NGK 6510 gapped @.050 worked great for me

You are boosted right? Would that be the right setup for just a tuned 18 on e85?

I am boosted, but I ran these last year tuned on E85 NA. They have a 7 heat range which is the same as stock on 18+. Gap to .050. I ran 11.38@124 with DA 1900
