David. I never owned an s197 Boss 302, but have modded many S197s. I wanted the best of both worlds: comfort and performance. The last was a 2011 which had many similar suspension parts and I had to lower it to get the spring rate and struts I wanted. I tried all kinds of bushings, LCAs, etc. I could probably write a book on S197 mods.

The Bullitt with magneride is just better than than any of that stuff. Then on my '15 I put Steeda stuff and got most of what I wanted, but still the ride did not compare to the Bullitt. Hard driving through the curves with NO potholes and the Boss, even with the solid axle will outperform. At the dragstrip in hard throttle biting, the Boss will outperform. But, when it comes to real street driving the Bullitt, with the additional rpm and torque with outperform. I have yet to get axle hop. The S550 chassis sucks up more road stuff and coupled with the awesome Michelins and magneride, quieter, too.

I don't work for Steeda. I have used all kinds of stuff from UPR, BMR, Ford Racing, etc. The Steeda tune is truly a worthwhile upgrade. I also bought and have yet to install the jacking rails, but had them on my 2015. They are very good. The clutch spring is in my Bullitt right now and the jury is out. Not sure. Might remove it. You do get more clutch engagement feel, for sure. But, the spring adds fatigue in city driving after a while.

I, personally, would never lower this car. Been there, done that. The slight improvement in handling is offset by increased hassle. You will get more NVH almost certainly. If you are an older car guy like me (64), you will really start to feel the additional bend getting in and out each time.

I would love to hear about your comparison od the 2 cars, for sure!

It's been almost one year that i've ordered a Bullitt. As today, it's been 1 month that the car is in Newark waiting to be loaded.

How is that possible? Did the dealer forget to enter the order?
