305's fit fine on a 10.5" wide wheel. 10" wide would be pushing it. It would fit but you better off going with a wider wheel.

Here's mine with 20x10.5" - 305/35 and 20x10 -- 285/35

ive been reading these comments and am confused. American muscle wheel chart says that a 10.5" wheel can fit a 275-315 tire. I see people stating you need an 11" rim for even 305's.
I purchased 9" for front and 10.5" for rear to put on either 305 or 315's in rear but now im confused.
Don't base it off guys from the internet who usually have never actually tried that wheel with that tire. The tire manufacturers publish a range of wheel sizes they recommend. While it varies a little by manufacturer, aspect ratio, and the specific tire, in general the max recommended tire size for a 10" wheel is 295, 10.5" 305, and 11" 325. But a 305mm tire will be more effective on a max 11.5" wheel than a min 10.5" wheel.

Just took delivery of my gt pp1 after waiting 6 months, and can't wait to get new wheels. However, after reading all these wheel threads its not clear what works and i understand all the terms. If i try to run 10.5in wheels on the rear and keep the outer face of the wheel at the stock location, that would yield a +65 offset. If i move the outside face out 1/2in, that would yield a +52 offset. Yet i see people running even smaller offsets. So if i run 305 tires and 10.5in rims, what offset won't stick outside the fender or rub the inner fender well?

I run a 10.5 with a +45 offset (American Racing AR924). I also have a 305/35/20 on the back with coilovers. I have had no problems. However, you may want to reconsider going to 305 on the 10.5 wheel. After getting the 305, I think I would have been better off with 295 or even 285.

Why are you wanting to keep them at the stock offset location. It will never work with that wide of wheels.
Pushing them out some is not going to cause problems and the fenders in the Mustang are big to allow this.

I have the specs you are looking for in the PM...
I plan on lowering my car too with some BMR minmium drop springs.

If I was going bags, coils or slammed springs. I would probably go with a 285-295 tire and probably even smaller width wheel.

Just trying to use stock face as a reference point. Stock rims are 1inch in and tires about 3/4in. However i don't want tires to stick out past fendet either. Thanks for PM.

Are you guys paying attention? He said no spacers.

Generally, the standard max for a square no spacer setup is a 10" wheel with 35-40 offset. This works for up to a 285mm tire.

I have heard of up to 10.5" wheels, and 295 tires working square with no spacers. But off the shelf options are very limited, and your margin of error is small.

Take a hard look at wheel & tire selection before choosing 18 or 19".
Michelin lists their PS4S as wide as 315 tire working on 10.5" rim.

10.5 on the front? Do you think this would clear the Brembo brakes?

275 or 285 on a 10” wheel, 295 on a 10.5, 305 on an 11”. If you go wider than that you may need to may attention to tweaking the offsets, yes, and you wont be getting full intended width of the tire if its mounted on a narrower wheel than the above. You can’t just squeeze a 305 on a 10” wheel and call it a day.
You cant put a 305 on a 10? No issues for me, whatsoever.
