Black car or mirror?

Hey everyone,

I've been into detailing for about two years now and have been obsessed every day. What do yall think about this hood shot on my 2017 black gt?

Just finished a fresh wash and I get a smile on my face everytime when I see her clean!

Give us some details (no pun intended) on how you got to this stage! Amazing! When I got my black Mustang, it had spider webs on the paint which I believe was a result of spending too much time at the dealership (it was a leftover 2015)!

Give us some details (no pun intended) on how you got to this stage! Amazing! When I got my black Mustang, it had spider webs on the paint which I believe was a result of spending too much time at the dealership (it was a leftover 2015)!

This was right after a regular maintenance wash actually lol. I did a full paint correction 2-3 months starting off with chemical guys clean slate, clay bar and then 2 step correction polish v36-v38. I applied blacklight and then collinite 915 to top it off. Since then it has just been regular maintenance washes.

However, the past 3 washed Ive used the last coat as a drying add and spray topper for the car, and it seems to be working really good. However for its price Ill think ill go with P&S beadmaker.

Thanks man! She actually sees 15k miles a year, I wish it could be a little less lol. Just regular OCD maintenance and she really pops

Haha hey man if you come down from Minnesota id give you a killer price!

But ive been seriously thinking about doing some side detailing for mod money after work. something $200 for a full wash (removing old wax) iron remover, clay bar, + sealant and wax. So no dual action paint correction included. Thats pretty much all i have in the picture excluding my paint correction a few months back.

Very, very nice work! How much of an impact do you think the Mollinite 915 is having? It's often recommend for that really high level shine and I'm wondering if you would get the same effect now without putting anything else on top of it.

Great question. I think 915 gave it a deeper wetter look, but it wasn't as slick. I'm actually planning on doing decon wash soon, and top the car off with 915 and then p&s beadmaker a week later. This should give me the deep wetness of 915, and mirror slipperiness of beadmaker together.

Will do, ill keep you (and anyone interested) in this post. Black cars are tricky but I think the 915 + beadmaker combo ill be solid.

Hey man, did this yesterday. This is 1 layer of chemical guys black light and 1 layer of colinite 915 applied about 45 minutes later. Next week I'll apply some beadmaker for extra protection

Wow! That looks nice That 915 really seems to add a "wet" look that very few other products can achieve. Thanks for posting this
