You guys know the best S197 forum or site to go shop for a car? I finally figured out why there weren't any in the classifieds here, LOL. Would like to track down a good clean one to pick up. Thanks guys.

Wow, is it just me...197’s seem to a) be holding some fairly descent value, and/or b) prices are scattered all over the dang place.

I agree that nice S197 cars can get good prices. The S197 was made from 2004–2014.

If it was me, I'd buy the 2011-2014 GT 5.0 over the 4.6L cars (2004-2010). Great cars, and I got all of mine with the window sticker (all shown in my garage).

I just think the 5.0L is the best one. It's hauls butt and is very reliable.

SVTPerformance.com has a well organized for sale section. Quite a few S197's to choose from.

S197forum.com has a good selection as well and huge wealth of information. From 3V to Coyote setups and GT500 5.4 and 5.8 as well. Some really sharp cookies over there. Just don't waste time with questions like "which oil", "which exhaust", "which gear" or "which tuner". There is a ton of 411 there if you will just take the time to search it. Revive the thread if you have a question that needs further explanation. OH! and do not open a thread in the tech section starting with the word "Which" in the topic. Topics for opinion go in the general Mustang discussion. They want to keep the tech area clean and free of that type of thread. Only troubleshooting techniques, installation processes, problems that arise you are trying to resolve, issues installing an item, etc. Play by their rules and don't have a thin skin and you will learn a lot there.

13/14 Mustangs are still my favorite years of all the models since 1994. The only thing that would make the 13/14 GT the ideal platform for me would have been all forged internals like the Boss 302 short block had and of course 15+ GT's. I hope to step into a 13/14 GT500 one day in the near years to come. Would love to have a blown 351 CID (5.8L) displacement under the hood mated to a TR6060. But stock? HECK NO! :muscle:

I agree. The SVTP.com is good.

The S197 guys can be "less than helpful" when asking simple questions.

There is also:
https://www.modularfords.com/

https://www.corral.net/forums/

I think the best place is here.
