if anybody ever wonders about picking up new tyres in the Mustang and whether or not you can fit 4 in the car

you can!

I just picked up 4 x Michelin (MP4S) from Richard (Spider) - and with the rear seat down - 3 in the back and one on the passengers seat!

easy!

(bit smelly in the car afterwards mind you!)

Might as well get some springs and spacers on at the same time as them tyres Bob :muscle:

Just filled pretty much all of my boot with a spare wheel

I removed the inflator kit from the trunk, as well as the floor mat in the trunk, and stuck two 255s in the trunk, stacked, then put two 275s in the back seat. Easy, peasy.

Why have you written spare on it? In case you forget? And won't it wear off there when you use it? :)

(But a good idea to have a spare I agree)

Thanks Bob surprisingly easy after a bit of thought although I don't think you'd want to travel far :)

“Adams Spare” was written on the tyre so no one threw it out at work! It’s off an Audi Q3 with same 255 40 19 as ours, technically it’s a front sized tyre mounted on a rear wheel but figured it’s better than no spare wheel at all.

There was no way I was letting a good tyre go in the scrap pile, plus gotta keep that tight Yorkshire reputation up! :)

Was there not one way they don't fit...been a while since we had the discussion?
Either the rear wheels don't fit on the front, or the front wheels don't fit on the rear?

Pretty sure they would fit front or rear, only difference is actual width of the rim by an inch. Plenty of people run up to 10” wide on the fronts I’ve seen. Think it’s the new performance pack 2 in the US that runs 10” wide Wheels all round square set up.
