Hard to tell from the picture but does it go on the end of the air filter inside the filter housing? And what's the purpose of that little glued on piece? Does it go against the filter? Or the other way around?

I will have to go take a look. The cut out part goes over the fender bolt.

Alright, I normally lurk but this one made me laugh a little. I believe that is a clutch holder for the line to stop the vehicle from lurching forward if it were to accidentally start on the line during assembly. it attached to the clutch to keep it engaged. I don't believe you need it anymore.

I had a feeling it was something like this. I’ve been in this Mustang game for 27 years and never saw anything like it. I guess they just forgot to take it out of the car when they took it on it’s test drive right off the assembly line.
