Is there any quicker/shortcut way to blackout the sync 3 display other than going to settings, swipe left, display, turn off display? I hate my display being on during nighttime driving. Its amazing how much less I personally squint at night by not having it on. Yes, I do already have it on the dimmest setting

I am wondering same thing, also. I have a question for you OP..

I am new to my 17 sync 3, I have my screen on the DIMMEST SETTING and auto. If its daytime, and it goes dark naturally, the screen is super dark like as dark as it can go how it is supposed to., However if I get in my car at night and turn the car on, all my car is dimmed, except my screen on the sync 3, I have to touch my "dim" button, either up or down on left of gauge cluster and it automatically dims down to the lowest setting.

Not sure if yours does that, but I also turn the screen off through settings often, ( I have lasik and really wish there was a hot command) I even tried to use the Siri function, but it doesn't evidently have ability to turn off the screen.
