You basically have to drop it but I also shifted it back toward the rear of the car... a lot. It’s tough.

So would you all say using the insert kit with upgraded bolts is an increased chance of shearing bolts; about the same?

I did the through bolts on mine a few years back...Front and rear. At the time the inserts were not available, so dont have those. So far so good, but still a bit worried. Decent amount of track passes launching at 6K+ but still NA. Once the go I will do solid aluminum bushings and the through bolts.

U could easily add shims with the car on ramps, not drop the sub frame again even?

Ok... so.i just read the forum and now I'm a little confused. So the lethal extreme bolt kit (LP-550179) comes with 4 bolts and is different from BMR Differential hardware upgrade kit(Rh017)which comes with 6 bolts. It seems that the lethal extreme bolt kit is a stright through design and requires you to drill out the front bushings. Where as the BMR Differential hardware kit( RH017) doesn't. Is that correct? I've broken the BMR RH017 Differential hardware upgrade kit on a 60 roll switching from 3rd to 4th gear but I recently found out that the installer didn't put the sleeves in the rear bushing that go around the bolt to get rid of the gap between the bolt and the bushing. So that might be the reason why my passenger side front diff bolt broke. I was just going to replace the bolt that broke with the same bolt from BMR but the tech at BMR to me to go with the BK054 which is a solid aluminum insert bushings that's not permanent but it'll increase NVH. Currently I have the BK051 with the BMR RH017. Has anyone used the BK054 aluminum inserts with the BMR Differential upgrade kit (RH017)? If so hows the NVH? And have you broke any bolts? Thanks

Had some time earlier to put the 9/16" through bolts in the front mounts.

Dropped the cradle, drilled the bushings and that's all she wrote. Perfect fit and should work great.

I used a crows foot socket and torqued them to 130ftlbs.

I’m getting ready to do this, did you drill out the bushing insert from the front going towards the rear?

That was me - yes I did.
Is it correct that the only way to install the front through bolts is by completely dropping the subframe?

Correction. No jackstands. The rear was backed up on ramps. Lol
Ok, I was worried I’d have to pull the exhaust, drive shaft, brake lines, etc. just to drop the subframe far enough to drill out the bushings and get the bolt in.

Did you have to pull any of those parts out?

I was hoping all I'd have to do is remove the two front subframe bolts and loosen the two rear bolts but not remove them so I could get room for the drill.

I realized I had to pull the exhaust because it's in the way of the drill, hopefully I'll have clearance now if I completely remove the front and and rear subframe bolts one side at a time.
