Looking to order an adapter, bluetooth or cabled to use FORSCAN.

I would prefer not to spend a lot just to add bluetooth since I do not need it connected all the time.

Just wanted to confirm which ones work with FORSCAN from you guys.

Thanks!

I have the bluetooth one (OBDLink MX), and is nice because you don't have to switch between the two speed busses. I didn't want to spend very much either - so I bought mine on ebay used :)

I one time went the cheap route and fried my PCM (This was a different car). I'm all about saving some money, but I didn't feel comfortable messing around in all of the modules with a generic/unbranded special.

I used this one that connects via USB. Worked great and was cheaper than the Wifi or Bluetooth models (besides, my laptop doesn't have Bluetooth.) You do have to switch between ms-can and hs-can depending on what module you are dealing with, but forscan prompted me when to flip the switch so it was not an issue.

My buddy with an ST actually has this exact one and let me borrow it. Have not had a chance to check it out yet.

Really just want to change my background and if possible, disable the fake exhaust sounds on the speakers.

I have the OBDlink MX as well. It works seamlessly.

Are these being purchased off eBay or Amazon and who is the reputable seller?

My concern is getting a seller who’s selling inop or fake units, because there’s so many listed online.

Thx!

Anyone try any of the less expensive adaptors with any success?

How do I know which ones will work with FORSCAN or not?

Looking to change my vacuum gauge to a vacuum / boost gauge.

Anyone figure out the digital speedo other than in test mode?
