Yah I am a little disappointed. 435/400 isn't terrible by any means but not at all what we were led to think. 15/10 jump is just "meh". Once again gonna have to wait for aftermarket improvements.

Not bad but not great. Torque number is nice though. i think the ecoboost numbers are more disappointing. Oh well I think the GT will still kick some camaros tail

Meh, this is not that great especially with the weight gain. The car will be maringally better in ET times, but not enough for me. It sure opens the door for the new Camaro to be a lot lot better.

I think a rated 440/400 on paper. On dynojets I think we will see 415/380 at the wheels where a current 5.0 would put down 375ish.

Close, still wondering what they put down on a dyno.

Also we still don't know if the weights are accurate base numbers or fully loaded. The fact that auto-models gained less weight than manuals(by 30lbs or more!) makes me suspect the numbers.

As a practical matter, I don't think the weight gain means very much. The automatic gained 54 pounds... I normally have more than 54 pounds of random stuff in my trunk. It's not that big a deal.

Big wonder why the auto gain 30 pounds less than the manual.

Purely guessing the numbers and guessing we should know the numbers on Monday or this week.

1. 435hp
2. 457hp
Again I speak purely out of my own opinion, not on behalf of Ford, but I highly doubt you'll see numbers this week.

Rumour has it Job 1 is August 14th. My money is you'll find out then or August 1st to build up excitement.
Guess I wasn't that off.

:headbang:
hell yeah! What do I win? lol.

Lulz at all the people who were making fun of me a few pages back for guessing 435-440 and who said it would definitely make more than the Boss and probably be over 450 with all those "upgrades" Ford did. No way it could only gain 15 hp with those changes, should be at least a 40 hp gain. My sides are hurting I'm laughing so hard.

Seriously though, it appears that the new intake manifold (basically the old GT intake with charge motion flaps added) allowed it to gain some torque but cost it a good amount of hp on the top end. I bet with a Boss or CJ intake manifold these things will pick up quite a bit.

I'd guess a proper tune with the EB will pick it up a good amount. I'd think they tuned it for fuel efficiency to hit their MPG numbers to pick up their averages.

I'm perfectly happy with 435/400, but was honestly expecting more. At least I'll be able to beat a Prius off the line.

My guess on March 7th 2014 was 450 HP and 405 TQ. Not to bash Ford or beat a dead horse, I will take it. I believe the figures released by Ford are on the conservative side just like they always do.
