When I get my engine back together and the bellhousing re-attached, I'll explore this in detail. I had this rattle before I took things apart (when cold), so maybe I can help shed some light!

Let me know if this works for guys

Do you find the fix solution? I have a rattle that I hear when the car is in drive and sport mode, not in neutral or park. The noise sounds like a marble in a tin can. I thought it might be this issue but have no idea? Would you mind listening to my video and check if it could be the transmisson plate? It happens in drive around 1500 rpm and in sport mode around 2700 rpm when I'm about to shift into the next gear. It never happens when the car is cold, only when it's warm. You can hear it around the 5 second mark in the video I have linked. Thank you.

Ford has recognized that it is a problem. The latest revision of it is coated in a black rubberized substance.

So better to just slap some dynamatt on it? I bought some and plan to do it this weekend. I see in the parts catalog, they did as you mentioned...

https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/plate-cylinder-block-rear-9797347-1

You can see the black material added right at the bottom...

I had mine to the dealer a while back for the 4K metallic sound, and they did not fix it. I may just take the dynamatt to them and say put it on.

The call out is for the MOD 5.2L-TIVCT PFI NA HP1 GAS
Think it fits the A10 or mt82 behind the 5.0?

I might go over to Koons in Falls Church and look under the 2019's 350s.....see if indeed the whole flex plate is covered in a vinyl material. The parts catalog does not show that, it only shows the small strip.

That isn't the latest revision. The one the dealer put on the car during my engine replacement is completely coated in the black rubberized substance.

Dynamat works best so your drivetrain doesn't have to be disassembled to replace it.

Thanks! I had mine done in January....guess they reused the old non-covered plate.

I told my dealer do not put my old one back in, either replace it under warranty or I'll pay for the new one.

So did the dynamatt really work and how long did it stay on? Did it start to flake off due to heat and road junk/water? I talked to the parts guy at Koons Ford and he verified that indeed a new part has been put out, but he did not have a picture of it. They have 6 of them in the whole country. The new part does not show up in the online Ford parts catalog yet that we as consumers have access to. Next up is to get them to put it in. Yes they will have to drop the tranny to do it, but they replaced my engine so dropping the tranny should not be an harder.

I had the dynamat on for 4 months, plenty of rain, high Arizona temps, and high speed runs. Zero issues.
