I was in the process of installing the hood struts and one of the plastic screw type plastic rivets that hold the battery cover fell out of my hand and found its way in between the right fender.

Anyone have a link to source the exact part?

I have found many automotive links that can substitute these plastic rivets but I'm keen on getting the identical parts. Went to Ford spare parts and they do not source the identical plastic rivets and they hold the after market clips that do not look the same and for $4.50 per plastic rivet I can buy a dozen for $10 elsewhere.

Try Levittown, they have exploded diagrams that should show the exact part.
I'll have a look myself if I get time.

Appreciate it Burkey. I think someone on the Aussie boards lost one too. Can't find the thread.
This is what it looks like with a cross head.

I think I may as well have some back up spares. You never know someone will drop and lose it or I may do it again one day.

They are a bit of a crap fit, the clip is almost the same size as the hole and the battery cover is flexible enough to lift out from under the clip easily. It needs a large black plastic washer between the clip and the battery cover.

I bought a pack of 10 from eBay for $1.39 that work just as good as the originals
