I like when she asks "how much does it weigh?" It was the same old let me talk about every other feature that has already been gone over 100 times before just so I can dodge the question.
What I found interesting was when he said the DCT weighs about the same (As the GT350 trans). That, combined with the supercharger, were the heaviest items. So, I'm hoping the weight comes in a bit lower than expectedI like when she asks "how much does it weigh?" If they didn't need to be that way, then why would they add weight unnecessarily? (it was rhetorical)^Dont forget the unnecessary huge rotors and calipers adding weight also because "GT500."
Wow, hard to imagine that a DCT and a manual would weigh the same amount. What I found interesting was when he said the DCT weighs about the same (As the GT350 trans). That, combined with the supercharger, were the heaviest items. So, I'm hoping the weight comes in a bit lower than expected
Well everyone likes to quote Jim Owens in his videos lately......Wow, hard to imagine that a DCT and a manual would weigh the same amount.
Honestly, probably just to stand apart and claim largest brakes on production mustang for the top dog. Peronally i would really love the option to run 19" wheels and tires for performance and aesthetics. If they didn't need to be that way, then why would they add weight unnecessarily? I highly doubt the 500s design goals primarily revolved around aesthetics. An automotive engineer designing a performance vehicle like this would kill to save a pound here and there. The 20" wheels were designed to be the same weight as the 19" counterpart on the 350. Unfortunately, the engineers decided on bigger brakes (and I'm sure for good reason).Honestly, probably just to stand apart and claim largest brakes on production mustang for the top dog.
