I have a Escort 9500ix on a blend mount. It is mounted on the rear view mirror.

Is there any solution for using the mirror tap with the bluetooth adaptor for the Valentine 1 ?

I tend to prefer to see the readout on my phone instead of on the device when the top is down / draws too much attention.

Have been considering going back to a hard line instead of the mirror tap to get bluetooth back.

Edit: never mind - http://invisicord.com/osc2/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=59

Just need a double tap instead of single.

Maybe I can splice a line into it.

Well designed ones do not. Poorly designed ones do.

Google "Spectre RDD" or go to the product page: http://spectre-rdd.com/spectre.asp

Unlike your watch, a radar detector has an oscillator generating a reference frequency for the superheterodyne filter. Badly designed or cheap ones leak like a sieve, giving off detectable levels of RF that can be easily detected by other radar detectors or by the "radar detector detectors" used in jurisdictions where radar detectors are illegal..
You are wrong again. All digital watches have crystal oscillators to maintain accuracy. They are tiny and they don't radiate enough energy to be picked up by radar detectors either. The oscillator in radar detectors are similar and do not run with a lot of "power" (a few microwatts) since it's job is simply to provide a steady reference frequency. It's a tiny transistor inside the chip. It has no antenna and the connecting circuitry is also microscopic inside the chip.

"Again"? Name the first time.

Your statement was correct until you hit the "either". There's an industry making money off being able to detect the emissions from radar detectors. You should do some research before you pontificate again.

I went the Blendmount route with my V1G2 hardwiring it from the passenger footwell fuse #23

If you read VA law it says that the driver and passengers can not have access to the radar detector. It doesnā€™t say that you canā€™t have one in the car. So put it somewhere you canā€™t get it but still hear it or place some cover over it that locks and put the key in the trunk. Get creative a law is only as good as whoever wrote it so read between the lines
