It's finally looking like we might be finished with the white stuff! Although we still have 3-4' on the ground the daytime temps are creeping towards 50, while the nights are still below freezing. I'm seriously thinking about swapping out the winter wheels and tires this weekend, and pulling the plow off the Ranger.

I realize these actions almost guarantee 2' more snow, but I've got a feeling we might be done - hey, call me an optimist. My garage is heated, so I'm not worried about PSS4 tire temps.

What are you guys doing? Knuckling down for more winter weather, or ready to go play with your Bullitts?

Studs! Damn! I haven't seen a set of studded snow tires around here in the better part of 40 years.

Pretty common here, I have iPike studs on my 4x4 Ram pick-up and Nokian Hakka studs on the Bullitt. With only two wheels driving you need all the help you can get.

True. While the RWD car gets performance snows (mostly for random slippery spots on cold days), it sits when the roads are bad. Those are the days that the 4x4 Tacoma with Blizzaks is for. Don't see studs anymore, though, as everything tends to get treated within 24 hours anyway around here, and the studs extend the stopping distance on dry pavement somewhat.
