First pass stock 19 A10 11.82 & Raced next to my son RBS550

It`s been 12 years since my last 1/4 mile pass after 40 years of Mustang drag racing starting 1968.Friday 2/15/19 I got to me up with my son RBS550 at Orlando Speed World for the first pass on our 2019 GT, it was like old times racing with him! The only thing missing was my daughter and her Mustang maybe next time. Car specs 2019 A10 with 3:55`s and Drag Mode option and M/T Street
The Good:
Racing with my son

The Bad:
1 1/2 hours to track and car was heat soaked

We were surprised the 1st pass was 11.83 @ 119.05 2nd pass no cool down 15 minutes later 11.82 @119.69 DA +1,284 FT 3rd pass 11.83 @ 119.42 DA + 1,115 ft
Very happy with the ET`S for bone stock with DR`S and had a great time getting back on the track! My son RBS550 was next to me and his 10.30`s with 1.3 60 ft sure made my 11.80`s look slow!

Older tire not available now M/T street DR 295/45/17. Big tire 27 1/2 tall hooks great more tire than I need tire & rim weigh 52 lbs same as stock they were on my sons Mustang from 2015

Nice ET`s! With +1200 ft DA you should be up here with -1000 11.60`s? and RBS550 10.10`s! How many miles on your 2019 at first track run?

I`m 70 years old so I went a little conservative Firestone all season radial tire 225/60/17 same size as stock but a 17 heavy tire no weight savings and rim is 17x7 , I drive 70 t0 90 MPH on road trips so I went with this to match the back rims. Maybe later a lighter weight set for racing.

Yes they were on my sons Mustang in 2015-16 he passed them on to me , the rear also RaceStar 17x9.5 with M/T 295/45/17 street Dr`s. Front RaceStar 17x7

I have had it about 6 weeks and followed the owners manual, first 1K miles broke in easy kept different RPM`s with city & highway miles ... Then after the 107 mile trip to Orlando Speed World it was time to Send IT! 1,006 miles

Work on them reaction times and you'd make a helluva bracket racer. Very nice consistency.

Thanks, It was a test and tune night and my first time on the track in 12 years I was watching the tach instead for best RPM but yes it would be a great bracket car with good lights! I got back out again for a 11.78 @ 119.19 the 60 ft still bad some ET still there maybe next time! Still stock with M/T DR`S

So with a decent 60 ft that car has a high 10 second pass STOCK with drag radials ?

I know this is definitely NOT your first rodeo .
Looks like you came out of “retirement” to have some fun.
I bet when you first started out , you would never have thought you would see stock cars run 10’s (and NA too!) .

Thanks, Your right I started drag racing in 1968, a 68 Mustang GT 428 CJ with to many mods to list and it ran 11.90 that was fast back then. Now a 3900 lb small block stock N/A is faster! A pic of RBS550 in training working on the big block Mustang...
