So who did their taxes, did you end up in the red?

My taxes are pretty simple - 1 job, homeowner, no dependents. I've used Turbo Tax for years.

Here's how it shook out for me:
Paid every other week, when withholding changed my take home went up $102, so +$2600 in round terms.
Last year got about $300 back, this year owe about $1500, so $1800 swing. My income went up about 2% 2017 to 2018.
I'm $800 to the good.

I looked over the numbers.

We made 22k more this year.
We paid almost the same in
We obviously owed about 6k more this year
Due to new tax law, my tax liability went down due to child credit I havent claimed in years.

My CPA just got back to me, we're $7000 in the red, though the new tax laws apparently saved us $7500 over the course of the year. Still, f-me.
