'17 cars added '16 Track Pack equipment as standard.

Recaros are standard equipment as well for all years. It was the Tech Pack and Convenience Pack or whatever it is that adds the different leather seats.

I could be wrong but I am not sure that the VIN will indicate a none mag ride but will confirm when I get home tonight.

As mentioned earlier decoding a VIN for a GT350/R will not show what options any car comes with including suspension, color, interior, transmission, base, tech or track pack, etc. but if using a VIN in conjunction with a data base or a Ford dealership more information can be secured.

In the case for one of my cars here is what the VIN tells me:

1FA - North American Passenger Car

6 - Front & rear safety belts with front and rear air bags ("6" is replaced by a "T" for any R models from 2015 to 2017. For the 2018MY the 4th digit is a "6" for all cars including all R models. Did someone at Ford mess up here?)

P8J - GT350 coupe

Z- 5.2L Voodoo engine

X - Check digit and can be either a letter as in the case for this car but all of my Base R models used a numerical digit

F- Model Year ( F-2015, G-2016, H-2017, J-2018, K-2019)

5 - Flat Rock assembly plant

520077 - Sequence code
