After owning a 660whp GT500 convertible I made the decision that I was more in the market for a sports car than a muscle car. My search began for suitable replacements but the field isn't full of sports cars that have a backseat for my 5 year old daughter to ride along in. My search ended up bringing me back to another mustang and the GT350 in particular. I had almost settled on a local new 2017 in blue with black stripes even though I wasn't in love with the color combination. I then came across an ad for this used 2018 in Tennessee. It was a 2,000 mile 2018 with serial number J0006 and a price 10k less than sticker on a new 2018. I worked with the dealer and ran to pick her up. The car was bone stock aside from an exhaust resonator delete. Although the car was a Canadian car originally (as evidenced by the mechanical gauges in the center being in metric denominations) it was clean and ran perfectly so I brought her home.
After getting the car home, and thanks to the sale of many parts from my GT500 the modifications begin. The first mods were the badge overlays from a forum member who did an amazing job of working with my to find the right color match for this relatively new color. I also shipped my headlights off to my good friend Joey at PSLightingSolutions for custom work. He blacked out the amber reflectors, paint matched the silver trim, and etched the GT350 logo onto the projectors.
On the drive home I noticed how difficult it was for me to easily rev-match downshift I also went through at this point and added the DIY gas pedal spacer, but ultimately knew it would need more so I ordered up the mad width gas pedals and the floormat plate from Sullivan Racing Products. This mod combined with the resonator delete makes for the most glorious downshifts.
