Digital dash issue

Hi all,
Was driving my MY19 GT auto today and noticed that my digital dash cluster went total black,
for about 4 seconds then came back on as if it rebooted, any ideas? anyone had this issue?,
was just driving normal @60klms per hour can't seem to find anything on the internet.

There's been a recall I think in relation to this. Check the TSB and issues section of the forum. I've seen it in there previously.

hopefully mine doesn't do it again either,might give the dealership a ring tomorrow and check if,
there is a firmware update? or if someone else has reported a similar issue.

Hi Armoured. i had a look for a TSB and did not find one for my issue,
but there was one for an issue with the auto gearbox when not put into park, that may cause an issue with the,
gearshift numbers not lighting up,could this be the TSB you remember.

Just to add to this thread, mine won't turn on at all last night. Is this something the recall was addressing?
Also do you think a fuse may be blown, and if so do you know which fuse it would be, the manual is no help...

I rang my dealership yesterday and spoke to a ford technician,and was told there is a firmware update that fixes my issue.

Thanks Troy, is that just through the sync update or do you have to take it into the dealership to have it flashed?

Has to go to dealership as its a firmware upgrade,can't be done through sync.

Just checked again today and still no go. Might try to check the fuse, does anyone know the fuse that the digital dash is connected to?

Mine went black for about 10 seconds on the way to work today just driving down the highway like the OP reported. firs time it's happened since I've owned the car since December 1st and about 3000 miles

Damn, hopefully a firmware fixes your problem.
Ford had to actually replace the whole dash unit, mine was completely gone.

I tried different colors tonight and everything seems to be working fine. Just gonna monitor it and see if it happens again. If it doesn’t then I’ll be sure to mention it before my warranty expires bc that is an expense part to just have your dash work
