No joke... I was at the gas station the other day when the elderly attendant accidently squeezed the pump trigger shooting me with gas through my open window!

It wasn't a lot, but some got on the inside of my driver side door and seems to have left some stains. I used my usual stuff, Cockpit Premium by Nextzett, but it didn't seem to help clean it up. I usually use Car Guys Plastic Restorer on the outside of my car, will that work?

Any recommendations? They owner will do whatever I request, even replace the door panel.

Gas is a solvent, so I would bet that needs to be replaced.

Why try and fix it if they will just replace it? Just my 2 cents...

Just live with it knowing new parts are on the way.

I’ve never done it, but you can try plastic polish. I’d say the trim is cheap enough to just replace it anyway though.

I googled “gasoline plastic stain” and some people had used 303 protectant or mothers back to black with good results. You can also try your plastic restorer product too which I’d assume is similar to back to black. Most products safe for outside can be used inside the car as well.

Just an update. I used Car Guys Plastic Restorer on the stains and it worked like a charm! That stuff is amazing. I've use it on the outside of my car many times, but never the inside.

Glad that worked out for you, OP! I would have just gotten the panel replaced.
