How do you guys feel about this kit? I'm using my car as a daily and thinking about this or a Vortech, a Whipple is nice but I can't justify spending 9k right now for one. Any and all feedback would be much appreciated! :)
It would be my choice for a true DD. TVS2650 is OEM and Edelbrock makes an impressively complete kit. Plus big torque right away is the TVS specialty. I could have went 4.0L Whipple but went TVS2650 for my 1000rwhp GT500.

Any more pics of the new modular inlet?

Is it me or do the pics look like it has a big opening where the throttle body sits then tapers smaller before it enters where the rotors are? The pics look like the big inlet gets smaller as it ticks under the top cover...

It's no secret since our catalog has to be printed by a certain time of the year...This page shows our Mustang Supercharger line-up for 2019. Part numbers in RED is NEW and features the new inlet compatible with the 103mm throttle bodies. 15832 and 158320 are available and shipping. The 103mm throttle bodies, Stage 2 and the Pro Tuner kit are not far away.

What does "EPA Legal" mean versus "50 State Legal"? Does that mean Edelbrock does not have a CARB EO number on these yet (2015-2017 Stage 2 system)?

I have really enjoyed mine so far. You don't have to pay extra for the warranty and it looks nice. I like how it fast it gets into boost you can feel. It makes it fun every day even if you can't rev it out.

It’s pretty standard for supercharger companies. As long as the engine retains its cats, O2 sensors and the other emissions equipment it is EPA friendly. It’s a word game they play for $. Now getting it to run clean enough to clear the necessary emissions monitors is another story. That’s going to be an uphill battle, probably even with the 50 state legal version.

How long away for a stage 2 for a 2016? Days weeks or months??

What’s the difference between the complete kit and the upgrade?

What all comes in the new stage 2 kit for a 2016? Is this available through all Edelbrock dealers or only select ones?

Is the 2650 very loud, whine wise? Is the 8 rib standard on the stage 2? The black TB is nice!!

Does the heatbexhanger fit with adaptive cruise? Any software issues running your tune with adaptative cruise?

By the way, I was on the Edelbrock chat and they had very limited information about anything to do with the Superchargers and questions.
  1. Few months away for Stage 2 complete kits.
  2. Complete kits are just that, complete with all parts you need to install and drive away. Upgrade kits are for converting Stage 1 cars to Stage 2.
  3. Final Specs for Stage 2 2015-2017 S550s are not final, but will include a drop in fuel pump module with DW400lph pump that is pre-assembled and ready to install, DW78lb fuel injectors, 103mm throttle body and high flow air intake system with 113mm MAF housing. This is referring to PNs 15839 & 158390.
  4. TVS rotors are relatively quiet as others have stated. If you lean on it with an open intake, you will hear some whine.
  5. The heat exchange does fit with adaptive cruise control and is comparable in performance to other manufactures "oversized" heat exchanges.
  6. I will have a "chat" with my team. I can assure you any information posted here comes from a very reliable source :sunglasses:

Great question! After we pass the emissions test, it typically takes months to receive an EO number. The EPA has granted us and other companies permission to sell to non CARB states while we wait for the EO number to be issued. After the EO number is issued, all 50-State apply. Since the catalog was printed before the EO number was issued, it has a pink/purple dot instead of the green dot.

Hello all,

To any patiently awaiting to purchase or to those considering it against other competitors, know the unit is 100% worth it.

I've had the stage 1 variant on my 2018(which I DD) since Mid-Summer of 18' and it's been spectacular. I've put a little over 7k miles on the blower with no issues. Recommend picking up a UPR catch can, or something equal, for the passenger-side because after just after a few thousand miles, I filled 25% of it up with

Sweet! Making me want it more and more! What will the upcoming stage 2 offer differently?

Yep, I added a UPR can to mine a few hundred miles after installing the blower and it's caught quite a bit of oil in it

The Edelbrock tech can chime in with specifics and confirm, but as far as I know: Larger modular inlet, different intake with a unique housing, 8-Rib pulley, and a lot of other goodies. To excited to see what’s to come.

Blowby is real. UPR was also a great choice

Ditto. I had to upgrade my original JLT because I was afraid the capacity wouldn’t be enough.

Would it be possible to upgrade the stage 1 to a stage 2? So the 103mm TB fits.
