There is a very low mileage 2016 GT350 for sale near me that I'm interested in. I'm curious if there are any quirks/issues that are specific to the '16 that I should know about before going to look at it. It's a stock 1-owner car that is spec'd just like I'd want and the price leaves lots of headroom for mods (vs. ordering a '19).

If you are going to track the car make sure it is a Track pack 350 and not a Tech car.

Would this by any chance be a magnetic gray track pack?

Be aware of potentially egregious oil consumption, engine replacements, saggy rear bumper and other shoddy fit/finish issues. Mine was a '16 and the engine seized commuting home from work...
And you had an axe to grind ever since. Have a look at this guys thread history and make up your own mind.

You contribute nothing here. You are a troll. As far back as I can remmeber, you have always been. Weren't you banned here a while back for trolling? Where is that report button.....

The most recent issue that appears to plague all years is this guy Randy M who follows you around telling you your engine sucks. Unfortunately no ForScan mods are available yet to disable him.

Click on his name and then click 'Ignore'. I've been in this forum for 15 minutes and seen enough of his posts to know that nothing will be helpful.. and now I don't see them anymore :)

FWIW my 2016 Gt350 uses no oil, has been great on track 20+ track days (with added on tranny cooler and proper maintenance) for 13k miles now.

Ford made 5 GT350 variants in MY '16. Base, Track, Tech, Base R and R w/Electronics Packages. On a sales brochure, Ford even labels each version: Base- "Limited Demand Anticipated", Track- "Track Day Specialist", Tech- "Smart, Sophisticated Performer", Base R- "Hardcore Track Use" and R w/Electronics- "Ultimate Street and Track". Of my two '16 MY versions (Tech and R), I've had two oil line cooler recall, timing chain tensioners and oil pan gasket services. Neither burned a notable amount of oil. The Sync system has flaws. Both had/have body/paint flaws that are easily overlooked or unnoticable while driving. The only modification I have made (to my R) is a QA1 carbon fibre drive shaft that eliminated the off-throttle "bucking" associated with the OEM 2-piece unit. Both have been amazing machines at their respective price points. Most people write off S550 GT350s as just another Mustang. People who know about the current GT350/R (and the folks who are worth talking) are enthusiasts, owners or both. Get you that OW!

OP. i have a 16 Tech that i daily. the only thing wrong right now the A/C compressor seems to be going out and im having trouble with the two local dealers getting in to get it fixed. other than that its fine. doesnt seem to have used any oil (its been 2k miles since oil change, i should check it before i leave work). ive put 8k miles on it since september 1st and its been fine. it will go on a trip to cresson this weekend then san marcos next weekend.

as long as it passes carfax/PPI, go for it.

I love my 2016 GT350 ! It drives great, runs like a beast but i have been dealing with electrical issues since i purchased it. Kinda the same situation you are looking at. Bought it 6 months ago with 7K on it, put 6K since. Just a heads up.. Other than the electrical issues the car is bad ass!

This is what you need to know. For 2017 all GT350s were essentially "track pack" with associated coolers and magnaride. For 2016 that is not the case.

Had a 16, loved it, used very little oil. It was a tech that I added the track pack equipment to, I called it my trech pack car
