Get the picture?
haggle
There is no haggling over insurance in FL. Insurance is regulated and the published price is what you pay.

That was my point earlier, but you would have known that if you were from FL.

Doesn't tracking the car or running the car at a drag strip void the warranty?
No.

Racing voids the warranty. Bringing onto a track or strip does not.

That's an interesting point. I was always told extended warranties run concurrent with your manufacturers warranty. Does the 48 month coverage you purchased begin at the time you purchased and continue for the next 48 months?

You may be correct in FLA
FLA insurance may be different ...never worked there. So I can't answer to your question. If it is truly an insurance product then you have the states commisioner of insurance working for you in a dispute. That must apply to gap as well then.
But it is a fact that it is not an insurance product in most states. it is a fact that the pricing and dealers costs can vary by company and dealership and the profit margins can be very high.
It's not uncommon for a store to sell you a car with very little margin and you feel great about the deal. By the time you leave the store they have made thousands on you in other ways

Edit***
Just looked into fla ....ins comm won't help you out in and event of insolvency

I would venture a guess they bought a 7 year plan... hence an addl' 48 months... otherwise that price point would be insane for one year of coverage.

Insane is the correct answer.

I'm seeing around $2280 to get 8 yr, 100k powertrain for my inbound '19..... with plans to do at least 15 track days a year, I think it's not a bad deal for an addl' 3 years of coverage... if nothing else it should help resale value a bit... Prob will wait till year 2 or 3 to decide though. I've never been one to get warranties on ANYTHING, but this may be an exception.

I think the price will be higher if you wait. That's what others were posting about in this thread. My cost to get the warranty you mentioned is much higher.

Maybe, but I also just priced it as a 2017 w/ 20k miles too and it was only $100 higher...

[QUOTE="torque124, post: 2474118, member: 25907" For damage caused by airborne material (environmental fallout) where there is no factory-related defect involved and therefore no warranty − our policy is to provide free repair of paint damage due to the airborne material for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first.[/QUOTE]

What qualifies as "airborne material damage"? I doubt that means rock chips...
