SP080s with PP shocks and Velgen VMB9s with Nitto G2 275/35/20 and 295/35/20. Sorry, the lighting isn't the best. Looking at new tires and considering going bigger in the rear. Does anyone know if the M/T Sport Comp 305/35/20 will rub with these springs or should I stick with the 295/35/20? The rear wheel is 20x10.5 +45.

hey brotha, I have the VMB7s with the 305/35 rears. I do not have any springs and judging by your pic I would say stay with the 295s. My rears are a tad thicker than the 275/35 fronts. It would be cutting it close if your subframe isn't aligned perfectly. My rears fill up the gap decently for stock height.

Thanks for the information!

I have the Performance springs on my 2017 GT (non-pp). I don't like how the rear sits higher than the front. Are there springs that i can install on the rear that will sit level with the performance springs on the front?

Something other than BMR. There are good reasons for the rear only being a 0.5" drop.

I recently installed the BMR performance springs (with the minimum drop front springs - 7/8” drop) paired with Koni’s newer Special Active dampers (red). The drop is nice with some good clearance at the front. It’s a 2 finger gap up front and 1 finger gap in the rear. Ride is compliant and more planted; bumps are absorbed a little bit better than stock. Overall I’m fairly happy with the ride alongside a reasonable drop that lets me get in and out of my underground parking. I have 1” spacers all around as well.

It looks like the rear drops more than the claimed 0.5”. Is it because of the milder 7/8” front drop that the rear gap is lower? Car sits level with 28” height from bottom of fender to ground at all four wheels. Bushings were indexed before alignment.

If the stock pp tire aspect ratios are kept front and rear.. the rear tire is about 3/4 inch taller and will fill the qter wheel well an extra 3/8 an inch or so. Small amount but roughly a finger width.

I can’t believe I didn’t think of that...
Man thanks for pointing that out. Guess it’s time for a nice square wheel setup soon.

Are you running any spacers? I was worried the pp wheels would sit further back in the wheel wells but yours look nice and near flush

Yup as mentioned in my original post, I’m running 1 inch spacers all around and it sits perfectly flush. I love the fitment. However, I am considering a set of 19x10 SVE wheels to transition to a square setup. I’m simply not sure which design I like best.

The PP wheels just don’t look as nice without spacers. These cars look best with nice thick wheels and tires flush to the edge of the fenders - especially the rear.
