thats the adapter youll want, then you can use any standard mic to hook up to. When I ran an older Hero setup I used long lavelier mics and taped them inside the engine bay and near the exhaust . They have decent wind cancellation covers and usually work good in most locations.

Sadly there isn't one like that for the HERO5 and newer. You gotta buy a huge bulky adapter first.
