Quick question about blowers. Found a take off from a 2012 GT500 (only 300 miles on the blower supposedly). He's asking $650 and I pretty sure it wouldn't fit on my 15 gt, but hopefully I'm wrong?

Won't fit. 5.4L vs 5.0L Coyote. Different heads.

It will work with this Dpeartment of boost kit, but that blower sucks. There is a reason all the GT500 guys get rid of them.

So they finally started making the intake kit for 11 and up setups. Was only aware of the 3V intake setup. I stand corrected. Last time I was on their site it was advertised along with their big H.E. for 11-14 but nothing available yet when I contacted them.

They have some very good articles on PD theory and testing.

While the M122 blower is hardly state of the art it makes 550 RWHP for relatively little money compared to all the other PD blowers out there. And runs cool as you could want when running the 1 1/4 inch lines the manifold is designed to run. I have that setup on my 2015 and am perfectly happy with the system and the power. That price for the blower seems high unless he is including a host of other parts.

^^^ Looks good. I waited forever for them to release their oversized HE several years ago. I gave up on them and bought a triple pass VMP. Looks like they have FINALLY gotten passed their love for 3 valves and entered the Coyote market johnny come lately. I speak out of frustration because I waited and waited and waited. DOB has awesome articles and done tons of research of various models. I'm glad they are finally FINALLY in the game on the Coyote engines. Aside from frustration of promises of release and then crickets I have no qualm with this place. They are state of the art. The setup looks nice. And if it's like the 3V intake you have several options that can sit on it.

Best thing of all about that kit is ANY direct fit GT500 blower upgrade would also work. Which has always made me wonder why this kit hasnt caught on more!!

The silver GT500 blowers are 2.3 TVS blowers NOT MP122s like the earlier black ones on the 5.4.

The blowers off the 5.8 Trinity is a pretty decent blower.

Sorry not true. Silver m122s came on GT500 from 2010 to 2012 the TVS blower came in 2013 and 2014. It is really easy to tell since all the TVS blowers from Ford say 5.8 cast on the top.

Early silver blowers on the 10/12s were Eatons amd most were black.

Anyways I was saying the 2.3 TVS on the 5.8 Trinity engine in the 13/14 GT500 is a pretty decent blower and wayyyyyy better than the Heatons.

Actually that is NOT what you said it might have been what you meant. Yes the TVS blowers are better blowers but the m122 is not a bad blower. Fact is the installs were never really optimized like they can be today. If you're fine with 550rwhp an m122 is a great blower. The setup on my car run 10 degrees over ambient air temperatures better than most TVS installs and yes the TVS with my setup is even better and of course makes 650rwhp with not sweat.

Are you seriously arguing over color of the eaton case?

The blower cases are clearly different between the Eaton and the TVS.....

LOL

Why waste your money on a garbage blower, there are deals out there all day on good kits. My kit was originally a Roush phase 1 kit, I got it brand new in the box on craigslist for $4500 bucks. After you buy the department of boost stuff, injectors, etc, its going to be the same price as a good kit but your stuck with a worthless blower.

You do realize the Roush blower is EXACTLY the same size and rotor pack as the 2.3 TVS on the 5.8 GT500s...........

Im not 100% sure the cases are the same though.

Either way the GT500 TVS blowers can be found as take offs for under $2000

I believe the 'garbage blower' he was referring to the M122, and Yes I also think the M122 is too small for a 'Yote,
