I have a 2015 with the shaker pro 12 speaker system. I removed the stock sub and completely Dynamat the entire car. Getting ready to install an amp and I am torn on my amp selection, was thinking of going with the Slash V3 series (600/1v3 for the sub and a 300/4v3 for the fronts and backs).

Also looking at the VXi series instead of the Slash, specifically VX1000/5i.

Very limited reviews so far, does anyone have an opinion on the VXi series in the s550?

The spec's look good but for $1200 it should have a lower THD.

What are you planning on running for speakers (and sub(s))? The integrated DSP is kinda a big deal for me, so I'd take the extra adjustment and smaller chassis of the VXi.

I ended going with the following, going to install this weekend, still need to choose some speakers, currently have two 10” Punch-P3s for my subs.
  • Rockford Fosgate DSR1
  • iDatalink HRN-AR-FO3 Harness
  • JL Audio Slash 600/1v3
  • JL Audio Slash 300/4v3
Everyone I talked to recommended the DSR1 for my car, allowed a plug and play option to remove the factory amps and retain all features. I’ll let you know how it works out.
