Hi there,

I'm sure this has been talked about somewhere on this forum, but I was wondering if there any members who can tell me if they are adding STA-BIL to there gas tanks for winter storage. I just wanted to hear from experienced GT 350 owners before I did or did not do it. I will not be driving it until April. Thank You.

Always. Add it, run for a bit to get it to the injectors, then shut it off.

Thank you.

I am not driving right now, I am in maine and we have snow on the ground, and winter sand on the paved roads.

If I add the STA-BIL to the fuel tank how long should I let it run for ?

Waste of time IMO. Do some research on phase separation. Fill your car with alcohol free fuel if possible.

Three basics if the car is sitting for more than a month or so - first, use Stabil, second make sure that the tank is FULL with (third) non-ethanol fuel.

Stabil keeps components of the fuel from oxidizing - even non-ethanol fuel can oxidize too. Keeping the tank full limits the amount of air in the tank. Air is the source of the oxygen and condensation that causes problems. Ethanol will turn into sticky gunk if it's left too long. Stabil can slow this down, but it's best not to have it in the first place.

Welcome.

I always run non-ethanol and ensure the tank is full when going into storage.

I’ve never used Sta-bit and haven’t had any problems.
