Did they have a firmware update like they did for the GT 350 ?
The tomahawk tool now has “guardian, performance, torque reduction and valet modes “
The GT 350 performance mode allows addition/subtraction of 8* of spark but it looks like the spark at “zero” is lower by about 2-3 *(from 18-19 to 15-16).
I guess they don’t want you trying to run 26-27*
LOL

What are the tomahawk tools even worth to people? I've never even took mine out of the box or the injectors haha.

I'm glad they are working well for you guys though!

lol, yea I was sent an updated firmware with my tune. I haven't even messed with it other than flashing the tune. My nguage has been plugged in since for the gauges on it, originally was monitoring oil pressure and knock, now mostly iat2 and knock.

I am glad I was patient enough to to wait on the updated firmware and software for the GT 350 .
Since I can now add spark for race gas I don’t think I am going to bother with E85 if I can make mid 800’s on race gas
Made mid 700’s with the old tune on 93 /3.75/18-19*
I am also planning to drop a pulley size so being able to adjust the spark for 93/ race gas is vey useful .

I am happy with the PBD race gas tune on my 18 but with the octane adjust I good probably have made similar power with the whipple tune .
If I need more then I will get an E85 tune which may pay for itself eventually given the cost of race gas . Lol

The Whipple flex tune is going to be a game changer and probably worth waiting on before considering a dedicated E85 tune if you have not already switched to aLund/PBD.

Dustin Whipple just said tonight on a live stream with Jared at Lethal that we should hopefully expect the stage 3 by April I think. Should be plenty of time for me to mess around with the whipple tune and the case of boostane I ordered on black friday :)

Drove my car three times today for a total of probably 30 miles or so. Still impressed with the drivability and tune performance, sounds light years ahead of what people were saying about the early ones with poor drivability and stuff.

So, I don’t want to start a “tick” discussion, because in my personal opinion it’s a rabbit hole not worth going down.

But, I did want to note that my engine was healthy before install, but did have the typewriter tick until it warmed up. Now with the whipple, new opg/cs, and Amsoil full synthetic 5w-50 it’s gone. Didn’t bother me before, but it’s interesting and overall my engine sounds and feels very healthy with the whipple tune.

Is this loading the new tune on a 19 when i get this screen or is this just a different update thats not the tune? Also where is the valet mode tune located? Is this only 18's that have the valet tune so far?

Yea that's what mine said after it said something like erasing. once that hits 100% it says complete and you're good to go. I haven't tried any of the new features, but there's a real possibility the 2019 version doesn't have it yet as from what I've seen it's lagging a little behind the 2018 version for some features.

FYI - I’m a dummy and forgot to re-add the 10A fuse into the tap during my install and that’s why my TC system was off. You tap into the ABS system which causes a TC system fault if left unplugged.

After driving my car today with the new 19 tune revision i discovered it has some issues. Transmission was acting real quirky and wouldn't downshift when Id go wide open throttle and just felt like shit. I reloaded the original tune and the car drove normal again. I sent whipple an email to let them know. It was crazy how bad it drove. Anyone else having issues with new tune?

I had exactly the same issues with one their earlier tunes(pre 2-0) on my 18
Loaded original tune and ran right again.

Ok good. Glad to hear it wasn't just my car. Went out and drove it some more on the original tune and its running like a champ!
