Yesterday I took my 2018 GT PP1 to Ford of Kirkland for its first oil change. I was aware there has been some confusion on amount of oil (8 or 10 quarts) and meant to check it before I left but didn’t check the invoice until at a stop light. I found that they only added 8 quarts, purchased 2 more on the way home, got home checked it and found it was light so I added 2 quarts got it to the normal level.
For those unaware what I’m talking about, the 2015-2017 GT’s take 8 quarts, but the 2018-2019 GT’s take 10 quarts.
I talked with the director of service at Ford of Kirkland and informed him of the issue, he seemed unaware this happened and assured me it would be resolved. I don’t know if this happened to anyone else, but want to make you all aware to double check what the dealer, or service shop is doing!
