Oops,
My reply ended up on your post somehow!
So, why did you settle on the Ram?
All of the big three - Ford, Ram, GMC/Chevy - have nice trucks. The new Ram Longhorn and Limited have beautiful interiors, and the new exteriors are nice too. And the Ram has been winning awards and a lot of praise.

I had a 1998 Ram years back and it never gave me any problems. Fingers crossed on this one. : )

I have been lookIng at a pickup for months now but so far it has been difficult to give up my mustang. I’ll be retiring in a year or two and I am looking for a more practical vehicle as well.

That’s exactly my situation, Don. I’m retiring the summer of 2020 and I plan on doing a bit of traveling. So a nice truck will be more practicable. I’m gonna put a fiberglass bed cover on the truck which I’ve found on other trucks to be extremely handy.

But I sure hate to let go of the Mustang. She still puts a smile on my face as I go thru the gears.

Dodge knocked it out of the park on the new trucks. Great choice.

I enjoy my RAM immensely. Kind of a Ruby truck so to speak.
Oh yeah, Dave. I like the Delmonico Red a lot. That’s a gorgeous Limited.

I would keep the stang if I were you. Your entering retirement... you should be able to enjoy both!

I've thought about it, Lorne. But the Mustang is paid for and applying what I can get for her, plus another substantial amount, as a down payment is going to result in a small monthly truck note. And. there's the whole two insurance thing if i keep both.

I guess I'm trying to be somewhat financially responsible as I head into retirement. But I do love my Mustang.

Thanks for the compliments. I went with RAM in 2009 when I needed a tow vehicle for my boat (Cummins). After that they just kind of stuck. The Hemi/Cummins and coil over suspension really trip my trigger. The 2015 and 2019 interiors in my opinion we're the first to take it to that next level of luxury, that as an older guy I am ready to enjoy lol!

Thanks, Jim.

Pulled the trigger today and this Laramie Longhorn is resting in my garage. But just barely. Damn these houses with short garages.

Welcome to truck world!

Now that you’re a truck guy, when you see a rig trying to merge - give him enough room, then flash your lights to let him know it’s ok to change lanes. It’s your duty now that your a truck guy. I’m a truck guy (check out my avatar). All us truck guys stick together. They think I’m all about Mustangs. Little do they know...

Good looking pickup there. The interior looks so much different than my '05 2500 which is cheap looking. Been a good truck though. Good luck with it
