Well - the OP from that thread has not posted an update since mid December when he was going to pull the carpet and share a photo. I wonder if anyone has heard from him - maybe he went looking at/for things he shouldn't have...

Have there been any UFO or alien abductions in the Austin area in the last month???

Those hold the carpet down in certain places

This is correct. The carpet along the rockers between the seats under the rocker under the Mustang lighted/ non-lighted sill plates.

There was also one near the clutch and throttle pedal also.
