Hey, everyone,

Just wondering if there are any aftermarket spoiler options for the 2018 GT Convertible. Been going back and forth on going back to a convertible (my previous 1990 LX and 2001 GT were both convertibles, then switched to a Fastback for my 2013 and 2016 GTs) - regardless of which route I take I plan on PP + Magnaride being equipped, which means no spoiler for the vert. I’m honestly not overly concerned about the functionality (blasphemy, I know :p ) and just like the look. I know the antenna placement may be a limiting factor here, but was curious if there were any decent (and non overly flashy) spoilers out there for the 2018 GT Convertibles.
CDC Outlaw. Works on coupe or convertible. Has a cutout for the 'vert's CHMSL.

thanks for the picture...I have a calif special 2017 and do not care for the spoiler. I have been trying to decide between the cdc outlaw and the mmd by foose.... the problem is holes... would have to drill new and try to cover existing...

I haven't commented because I don't have a 18 and that's what OP asked for. But Lorne34 you have a '17 like me. Take a look at the MMD V-Series. I think it's the best looking for convertibles. I love mine.

THanks Yemil! I appreciate the suggestion. Do yo have any pictures of your vert with the spoiler installed? Love the GB color by the way .. killer with the black accents..

Trunk lids are the same 2015-2019.
yes, it's just a matter of whether you have a pre-existing spoiler or not. If you have a model with a spoiler delete then you have a blank canvas to work with and anything from the MMD, CDC, gt350 Track pack etc.. will work.

Plus you wouldn't want the spoiler to hit the antenna when you raise the trunk.

I forgot about that factor. There are several of the spoilers that will not clear the stock antenna. You could try the "stubby" after market antenna to see if that clears. Others have just made a point to slide their antenna around the spoiler each time they open or close the trunk.

I just pulled off the little rubber tip, chopped it in 1/2, stick the tip back on :D

Radio reception seemed fine, but I'm on Car Play 99.9% of the time :)

I went with a stubby as well. No issues but I also barely use the radio.

Yes sir, it's a family car!

Though really I only do my son with his front facing seat. Daughter's rear facing seat is a PITA and doesn't fit as well. I daily this one and take him to day care. He loves going fast and is a terrible influence on me!

That's great! you get the best of both worlds! We have to keep influencing the younger generation towards muscle and sports cars otherwise our future descendants will be driving prius, mini vans and cross over suv's..:crying: .............sounds like a dull world to me. :sunglasses::rockon:
